Community Events
Arlington hosts many special events throughout the year. If you are interested in sponsoring a special event in Arlington, please contact the Recreation office at 360-403-3448. Community special events might include, but are not limited to, fun runs, auctions, parades, fairs, and events in parks.

Show & Shine Car Show
The car show is held on the second Saturday of June, Olympic Avenue fills with antique and classic cars. Sponsored by the Downtown Arlington Business Association.
Carnival
The carnival is held at the end of June at the airport. June 23 through July 4, 2017. Sponsored by Arlington-Smokey Point Chamber of Commerce.
Farmers Market
The Farmers Market is held each Saturday July 1 through September 9, farmers sell their goods at Legion Park.
Frontier Days / Fourth of July
Every year Arlington celebrates Independence Day in a big way. Events are scheduled throughout the day starting with the Pedal Paddle Puff Triathlon, Kiwanis Auction, entertainment, a Grand Parade, a Kiddies Parade, the Duck Dash, and ending with a fireworks display. - “Old Fashioned Fourth” Legion Park: 12 to 4 p.m.
- Kiddies Parade on Olympic Avenue: 4:30 p.m.

- Food Concessions at Quake Field: 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.

Arlington Street Fair
The Arlington Street Fair is held on Friday and Sunday the week after July 4, (July 7 to 9, 2017) located on Olympic Avenue.
Arlington Fly-In
The Arlington Airport hosts the Arlington Fly In event each July, the week after July 4th, July 7 to 9, 2017. Hundreds of planes to view, hot air balloons, experimental aircraft, daily air shows, camping, and more.
Outdoor Movies in the Park
Bring a blanket for seating. This event is funded by City of Arlington Tourism Grant.
Shakespeare in the Park
Bring a comfy chair or blanket to Terrace Park and enjoy Last Leaf Production's presentation of classic plays by William Shakespeare. Sponsored by the City of Arlington.
Music in the Park
Music in the Park is sponsored by the City of Arlington. The City is able provide free concerts in the park with funding from the City’s hotel tax fund. The first 4 Thursday evenings at 6:30 to 8 p.m., at Terrace Park.
Airport Appreciation Day
Airport Appreciation Day is Saturday, August 26, 2017 at the Airport Office.
Art in the Park
Second Saturday in September at Legion Park. Presented by Arlington Arts Council.
Dragstrip Reunion Car Show
The Dragstrip Reunion Car Show event at Arlington Airport, is held on the second Saturday in September.
Red Rooster Route Family Farms
Take a day trip to North Snohomish County farms nestled in the rich soil of the gateway to the Cascade Mountain Loop Scenic Highway Stop and enjoy the ambience of each farm. You will find seasonal Nurseries, Gift Shops, B&B, Farm Markets, Ice cream, Espresso, Certified Organic Farm, Wagon Rides, Animals, Restaurant and Horse Arena, Sheep Handling-Border Collie Event, U-pick/We pick luscious Fruits and Veggies, Corn Maze, Pumpkins, Christmas Trees and Wreaths. Skateboarding Push Races
The Skateboarding Push Races is a two-day event features a half marathon, 5K and one mile races for longboard skateboarders of all ages. www.centennialsk8fest.com

Viking Festival and Pub Tour is held the first weekend in October.
Hometown Halloween
Trick or Treating on Olympic Avenue sponsored by downtown businesses. Costume contest at Legion Park. Saturday before Halloween.
Veterans Day Parade
Sponsored by VFW and American Legion on Veterans Day, November 11th at 11 a.m.
Hometown Holidays
Santa arrives in Arlington on a horse drawn carriage in our Santa parade the first Saturday in December. Following the parade, there will be a Tree Lighting Ceremony. Santa is available for visits at Legion Park after the Tree Lighting. Enjoy many holiday festivities including a tree lighting ceremony. Sponsored by City of Arlington and Lifeway Church. Wagon Rides sponsored by Downtown Arlington Business Association.
Arlington Stillaguamish Eagle Festival
Arlington is home to many eagles that nest near the Stillaguamish River. The Eagle Festival is presented the first Saturday in February of each year. Many fun activities for all ages to gain awareness of the environment. Sponsored by City of Arlington and other organizations.
Easter Egg Hunt
The date of this event falls on the Saturday before Easter. Located at the Arlington Airport, enter off of 172nd Street on 51st Avenue
Arbor Day
The City celebrates Arbor Day each year in April. More information will be posted.
McClinchy Mile Bike Ride
The McClinchy Mile Bike Ride is on April 30, 2017.
Memorial Day Parade
Memorial Day Parade is held on Memorial Day at 10 a.m. and is sponsored by the American Legion. The parade is held on Olympic Avenue.
