Visiting

Whether you plan to visit for a day or a lifetime, Arlington has something to offer to visitors of all ages. Nestled between the Cascade Mountains and Puget Sound and the halfway point between Seattle and Vancouver, BC, Arlington is your gateway to endless outdoor recreation activities. From snowshoeing and skiing in the winter, to sailing, hiking, biking, and golf in the summer, Arlington is your place for recreation.

Hometown Feel

Arlington takes great pride in keeping its “hometown feel” and hosts many celebrations throughout the year to share this small town pride. With over twenty to choose from, parks play a big role in Arlington. The City just recently acquired a new park of over 150 acres that will provide an off-leash dog park, camping, and a swimming area right on the Stillaguamish River.

Glen Eagle Golf Course

Arlington is also home to Glen Eagle Golf Course, a challenging 18-hole course with views of the Olympic Mountains. Glen Eagle Golf Course also boasts a full clubhouse and restaurant. The Centennial Trail cuts right through the center of Arlington, offering a 10 foot ribbon to travel to the Skagit County border to the north and the city of Snohomish to the south.

Stillaguamish River

The Stillaguamish River provides visitors a refreshing break year round. Fishing, floating and boating are popular activities on the river throughout the year. And the Stilly Duck Dash is always a favorite on the Fourth of July.

Shopping

Arlington has hundreds of different shopping options to choose from. Historic downtown Arlington and the Smokey Point District provide a variety of retail stores, boutiques, and restaurants for all tastes. The Arlington-Smokey Point Chamber of Commerce maintains an online directory of the more than 500 Arlington businesses that are active chamber members.

Summer Activities

In the summer months, Arlington hosts a farmers market that has arts, crafts, and locally grown organic foods. And don’t miss out on our annual Summer Music in the Park series in July, our Outdoor Movies in the Park in August, and the annual street fair coinciding with the Arlington Fly-In at Arlington Airport.

Whatever it is that you are looking for, Arlington is sure to have something that will strike your interest!
