SR 530 and Smokey Point Blvd Temporary Signal

Project Description

The City of Arlington is placing a temporary traffic signal at the intersection of Smokey Point Boulevard and SR - 530 in September 2019.  This temporary traffic signal will remain in place until a steel-pole span wire signal can be installed.  This signal system will remain as the City continues to work with WSDOT and stakeholders on the long-term solution, installation of a roundabout.

Coordination with Local Businesses

The City’s will coordinate with local Island Crossing business and with the community prior to installing the temporary signal and the steel-pole span wire signal. Regular schedule updates will be provided by the City to keep local businesses and the community apprised of progress on the project, and potential impacts.
