40th Ave / SR 531 Intersection Project

After many months of planning and design the 40th Ave / SR 531 (172nd St NE) Intersection project will begin construction on Monday, April 4th. The project will consist of both daytime and nighttime working hours.
During the first week of construction the City’s contractor, Interwest Construction, will work Monday thru Friday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Work will consist of mobilization, surveying the project area, and saw cutting at the intersection corners. The saw cutting will be completed during non-peak travel hours along the east bound lanes early morning and the west bound lanes mid-morning to early afternoon. This work will require lane shifts. Please expect delays if traveling along SR 531 during construction hours.
