July Fourth Parade Not Planned for Arlington

In light of the impacts of COVID-19 and the current WA State requirements for events, and timing, the Stilly Valley Chamber of Commerce has made the difficult decision to not sponsor the Fourth of July Parade for 2021.

"The health and safety of our volunteers, sponsors, spectators and the community remains our top priority. Ultimately, we could not in good conscience move forward with plans for the Fourth of July parade which brings thousands of people together in close proximity. A large-scale community gathering without designated access and reserved seating (like at stadium events) have unique challenges with social distancing requirements to follow in order to keep parade attendees safe and follow the State’s guidelines. We understand the parade is a long-standing, much anticipated tradition enjoyed by Arlington residents.  We are extremely grateful for all of our supporters during these challenging times, so we ask for your patience and understanding as we navigate through these changes."

We look forward to celebrating with you when the parade returns even bigger and better next year!
