Arlington hosts many special events throughout the year. If you are interested in sponsoring a special event in Arlington, please contact the Recreation office at 360-403-3448. Community special events might include, but are not limited to, fun runs, auctions, parades, fairs, and events in parks and on public property. Walk for Apraxia event in Arlington

The Walk for Apraxia is the largest fundraising and awareness event supporting children affected by childhood apraxia of speech across the US and Canada. 
Join the walk at Haller Park on October 14, 2023. Registration at 9:00 a.m. Walk begins at 10:00 a.m. Information here

Arlington High School Homecoming Parade

Friday, October 6 on Olympic Avenue at 4:30 p.m.

Wagoween at Legion Park

October 21, 10 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Legion Park downtown, 114 N Olympic Ave.  Wag-O-Ween is a dog treat walk with the NOAH center. Information at: https://www.thenoahcenter.org/wagoween/

  • Pumpkin Carving Contest: Registration 8am-11am, judging at noon.  Location: Gazebo at Legion Park
  • Farmers Market: 10am-2pm, trick or treating and games. Location: Legion Park
  • Innovative Dance Studio Performance: 10:15am at Legion Park Stage
  • Pumpkin Roll: 11am to noon, sponsored by Stilly Valley Youth Dynamics, on 3rd Street Hill
  • Trick or Treating: noon to 1:00pm, with participating merchants on Olympic Avenue
  • Arlington School of Dance Performance: 12:30pm at Legion Park Stage
  • Halloween Costume Contest: 1:00pm, sponsored by Arlington Arts Council at Legion Park Stage
