[ARCHIVED] Arlington Municipal Airport to Hold Emergency Exercise October 9

On October 9 beginning at 9:00 a.m., the Arlington Municipal Airport will be conducting a multi-agency emergency exercise designed to test our emergency response system. Involved agencies include Arlington Municipal Airport, Arlington Police Department, Arlington Fire Department, SNO911, Snohomish County Medical Examiner, and other local and federal agencies.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) encourages airports to test emergency response systems in coordination with local emergency service providers every three years to improve mutual aid efforts between airport emergency workers and local organizations.

There will be a significant amount of emergency vehicles on Airport Blvd. for the exercise. During the drill, the cross wind runway, Runway 11/29, will be closed. The runway will be reopened if an emergency arises.
