Code Enforcement

The City of Arlington Code Enforcement Officer works with our citizens to ensure public health, safety, and welfare are not compromised by violations of municipal ordinances. These ordinances are designed to safeguard our community and its neighborhoods.

Goal

The Code Enforcement Program goal is to provide responsive, effective, and innovative service to our customers with emphasis on achieving positive outcomes through Trust, Respect and Courtesy.

Service Requests

The first step necessary to initiating Code Enforcement services is submit a complaint via the online Complaints and Violations Portal. These are promptly routed to the appropriate Code Enforcement Officer for review. If the concern is a suspected code violation the Code Enforcement Officer will conduct an investigation to determine the appropriate action to be taken.

If you do not see your complaint type shown in the Complaints and Violations Portal, another city department or other agency may be responsible. Please visit the Common Code Violation page for non-comprehensive list of violation types.
