2023 Citizen Police Academy
The Citizen’s Academy begins September 13, 2023, and meets one night a week for ten weeks and one Saturday. It is held on Wednesday evenings, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, at Arlington Police Station 110 E Third Street.
There is no fee for attending the Citizen’s Academy, however, space is limited so get your application early!
Chief Ventura said, "We are excited to hold a citizens academy for our community. This is a great opportunity to collaborate on a broader understanding of your police department."
For the safety of instructors, officers, and attendees, a criminal history check will be conducted on all applicants prior to acceptance. Prior convictions may not necessarily disqualify an applicant but will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
